​​Reiki is a light non-invasive touch, stress reductive and relaxation technique that promotes wellness. Non-invasive meaning that recipients are not diagnosed with any condition and do not receive prescribed substances from their Reiki practitioners, Reiki is 100% natural treatment.

In a full Reiki treatment, Reiki Practitioners pose their hands on 24 different points on the body delivering  a natural, gentle and intelligent energy that when guided moves inside and out of the human body, removing stress and therefore allowing the body to heal itself.

Recipients feel the Ki energy moving throughout the body accompanied with different kind of sensations such as warm spots and tingling among other soft feelings. The recipient feel relax and their body activates the parasympathetic nervous system which is responsible for stimulation of "rest-and-digest" or "feed and breed" activities that occur when the body is at rest. The human body heals when the parasympathetic nervous system is activated or in other words when the body is relaxed.

• Reiki is not given or imposed on any one; it is drawn by the recipient. Reiki practitioners are only a channel to Reiki just like an electrical cable cord is a channel to electricity.
• Reiki is wellbeing therefore will not cause harm.
• While Reiki practitioners guide Reiki to recipients, they both, practitioner and recipient, benefit from the healing received. Practitioners do not attract the negative energy that may have been carried by the recipient.
• Reiki is ideal for a person who feels uncomfortable undressing. With Reiki a recipient does not need to take their clothes off and they can receive Reiki in the comfort of their own home.
• Once a Reiki student is attuned with Reiki they become a Reiki channel and are  Reiki channel for the rest of their lives, even if they don’t practice Reiki.
• To give Reiki only hands are required.
• While Reiki recipients receive a treatment, often times they fall asleep which does not affect the treatment at all. The most helpful thing a recipient can do in a treatment is to relax. Falling asleep is great!! 
• Recipient’s old and unsolved memories may become mindful again and a variety of emotions may occur including laughter, or crying. 
• Reiki can be interrupted with no need to start a treatment again from the beginning. It means that while guiding Reiki, it is ok to answer the door or a sudden phone call. A Reiki practitioner can resume the treatment from the point they left at the time of the interruption. 
• Any time is a good time to practice Reiki. It can be done while watching TV, listening to music or having a nap. Concentration is not needed for Reiki to work. 
• Aside from practicing Reiki on people, animals and plants, you can invite Reiki to flow as you work on a project or cook a meal. Reiki can be used on everything and for everything.
